Family Photos

We got our Family pictures taken in October by Jen Korth. She did an amazing job! It was the first time I have not been stressed taking family photos, or the kids photos. Jen was so great and fun at the photo shoot. I highly recommend her! Click here or here if you want to see more of Jen.
Sorry there are so many...I really didn't post them all. :)

Disneyland

We went to Disneyland a couple weeks ago and are wishing we could go back! It was such a fun family vacation, and it was priceless to see the excitement on Blake and Tyler's faces. I'll spare you all the pictures I took(because I took about 300!) and just show you some highlights.

The ride down.
We stopped in St. George for the night to visit Chris's grandparents. I hate that I don't have a picture of them...They are always so hospitable and make it so comfortable for us and the boys.

Here is Ty sitting, watching his movie in Grandpa Jones chair.

The next day of travel was so good. The kids were excellent and it went by super fast...which is good for me because I get so bored driving. It was nice to have Chris's parents with us too...they helped entertain the kids in the car and helped us at the park with them.
We rented a home by Disneyland, which turned out great! It was such a nice, clean, comfortable home...plus it had a pool. Blake LOVES to swim. He would live in a pool if he could. He keeps asking me when we are going back to the swimming house. Ty isn't in love with the pool...you can tell by his expression. He got more used to it by the end of our trip.

Jungle Cruise. kids loved and rode a couple of times.

Buzz Lightyear was Blake's favorite ride. I think we rode it about 10 times!

Blake loved trying on all the hats and we made Chris try them on too.

Ty wasn't happy about winning the big prize...mickey...so went marching back to put it away.

Pixar Parade...it was one of our favorites!

More highlights... We saw a lot of characters, but my kids didn't have any desire to get close; however Goofy came to see them. Ty was mesmerized and Blake hid.

Last ride of our Disney experience
Blake loved it and Ty and I watched from the sidelines.
The next morning before taking off we went to Goofy's Kitchen for breakfast. It was a fun for the kids...little disappointed we didn't see more characters there, but it was a great place to eat breakfast!
It was such a fun trip, especially for Blake and Chris. Blake wanted to do everything with Chris and turned into a great bonding trip for them.

Now I just wanted to add these few pictures....
Ty was great for being 18 months old. I learned that my eyebrows sweat when I'm trying to have patience with Tyler in the hot sun, in a long line :) We had a lot of little tantrums and getaways, but all-in-all we loved our trip with Ty! ;)

Workin' Hard

Blake and Ty love workin' hard with their Dad. Toy shovels and all.
Tyler, especially, is ALWAYS there to help whether his help is wanted or not :) But that is why we love our little Ty. Quick story, Chris had to clean the church a couple of weeks ago, so he took Ty over to help. Chris was vacuuming the hall way and had to stop to switch outlets so the cord would reach. Before Chris could switch plugs, Ty was there unplugging the cord and taking it to the next outlet. He continued doing this the whole length of the hallway for Chris. He is such a smart little boy. Too smart for a 14-month old!

5 years

"Soft...
when I need you.
Strong...
when I need you more.
Understanding...
even when I don't deserve it."

That about sums it up. 5 years and going strong. Happy Anniversary Chris! I love you!

Sun Fun

Playing with cousins is one of my boys favorites. They played in the water and ate popsicles. I should say Blake played in the water and Tyler ate popsicles, since they both don't do the other.
Curtis, Zack and Blake all cheesin it
This is Tyler saying CHEESE. First time he has ever said that and I didn't even prompt him to say it.

Another smile I can't resist posting...
and not one popsicle, but two please. Ty also enjoyed dipping the popsicle in dirt and then eating them. Whatever works!

4th of July

We had a great 4th of July weekend (Chris's favorite Holiday). We spent the holiday with both of our families which was perfect. We started out early Friday morning trying to make it to the hot-air balloons in Provo. Because of poor planning on my part, we missed the actual balloon launch, but we saw them from afar.....

I felt bad that we missed it. I think Blake and Tyler would have really liked it. We still stopped and met up with Jess and her kids. We waited for more balloon festivities, but hunger took over so we all headed to the Ranch house for breakfast, provided by Grandma B.

Later that afternoon we headed up to the Oqurrih Mtn Temple open house. We met up with Chris's sister Dani and her husband Ryan. It was a long, hot wait to get into the temple which I wasn't expecting, but it was nice... Ty didn't last too long. I ended leaving with Ty and met up with everyone later. Blake always asks to go see the temple, so it was nice to take him. I think he enjoyed the cookies at the end the best though :)

After the temple we headed up Hobble Creek Canyon to Watkins to camp. Blake loved being up there and on the paddle boats. He became quick friends with Chase which was really nice. We had the best time camping with the kids. It was nice being up the canyon.

On the 4th we had a BBQ with Chris's family. We ate and then headed over to the Riverton Carnival. Blake had a blast on all the rides. It was so fun to watch him! Tyler was excellent too and just sat in the stroller and watched. We stayed for the fireworks, which was fun for about 10 seconds. :) Then all the sudden Ty was done. He had, had it. So I took him to the car and as soon as I laid him in the car seat he fell asleep. Blake fell asleep too during the fireworks. I guess that's a good sign of a good weekend!

Spin, Spin, Spin

Tyler loves to spin in the chair. His expressions are so funny to watch. I had to get this on video. He can be so fun when he's doing what he wants...what I didn't catch on video was the massive tantrum that took place after I stopped spinning. He's getting good at those :)

(and don't mind my baby talk voice...kinda embarrassing...just turn down the volume)

Date Night

Friday night we met up with some friends and went to dinner. We ate at Jo Morley's, a fun place to eat. The blue grass band serenaded us while we ate and entertained little Luke. We got free pie because our waitress was magic. She disappeared for at least 30 minutes, but none of us complained because we were enjoying each others company. Us girls decided to finish the night off as girls night and headed to the movies. And the boys made their way over to my house to meet up with Chris. Oh, yes, Chris was missing at dinner. He was hard at work making us money. I was sad he missed out on dinner, because I had a lot of fun. It was a really great night! Thanks Staci for babysitting!
Oh and all the singles out there....Rob and Shay are available...as is Brittany and Emily :)
Let me know if you want a hook up!

Softball

Softball has finally started. Chris is playing with a few guys from work, and they are not too shabby. They were placed in the A league which makes Chris a little nervous...who knows why? Chris your AMAZING. I love watching Chris play. Blake and Tyler are a handful, but I think they enjoy being there too. Go Stryker!

Mornings

Lately my mornings have started fairly early. Some mornings its been as early as 4:00 am, but most mornings its 5:55 am sharp. All because of this:

Those dang birds...they are so loud! I get up, shut our window, crawl back to bed, and cue kids.

No joke. They like to get up by 6:30 now. Lucky me huh? I've tried putting them to bed a little later, and that doesn't work. The bright side is they are usually really tired in the afternoon and I can get both of them to take naps. I'm just loving my new schedule.... yay....

minutes ago..

Just minutes ago I was down stairs taking some chicken off the stove (can you believe it...I was actually making dinner) The boys had gone upstairs to play and I it was completely silent. Usually that means horrible things.

So this is what I found...

Blake being great. Just enjoying a book.
And Ty...content too.

It took me a moment to realize that he had no diaper on, but glad to see no accidents on the carpet :)

Starting to think they CAN be quiet without being too mischievous.

Barack the Alien?

We took the kiddos to see the movie "Monsters vs. Aliens". The second I saw this character I looked at Alli and said, "Barack Obama is in this movie?". I think there is a striking similarity. Alli will kill me for posting this, but I can't help it.
What do you think? Am I crazy?
